Life through fiction | The University of Chicago Magazine

I could not be happier my alma mater University of Chicago featured me in their magazine for the release of my new novel Solemn… I was a student there twice in my life, first for college at 18 and then for humanities graduate school after I published my first novel and as I published my second.

My love of writing instilled here, and the school is largely responsible for my persistent interests in literature, film, arts, culture and justice that negression aims to elaborate on.

Please enjoy this background on my younger days and the present novel in general.

    1. I am so happy you’ve discovered my work through Upstate and have read it! The party is still going on so you are right on time…we have just changed the records, and ordered more wine and food to keep it going 🙂 Many Blessings, Kalisha
