Last Sunday, March 8, was International Women’s Day. It was my privilege to create a very small list of all the women writers around the world I admire. I wish I could have listed more than 10, but I did not have time! It could have gone on…
But that did not stop the ladies over at BlogHer.com from featuring the piece as part of Women’s History Month (all of March, not just one day!). If you did not catch it here then head over to BlogHer to take a look at these women authors. Just some of the authors I discuss are Maryse Conde, Sister Souljah, Achy Obejas and Wendy Law-Yone. Thank you!

Reblogged this on Wright Words and commented:
I let international Women Day get by me without showing appreciation for the contributions of women to the arts, society and humankind at large! So I am re-blogging fellow blogger Kalisha Buckhannon whose suggestions of ’10 women authors you should read’ is a fine suggestion of how to celebrate International Women’s Day all year long!
