In case you’ve missed me this season on Investigation Discovery Channel’s Deadly Affairs true-crime docudrama, hosted by Emmy Award-winning actress and one of my personal childhood favorites Susan Lucci, Friday afternoon is a chance to catch up.
I appear back-to-back on the cable network at 2:00 p.m. EST and again at 4:00 p.m. EST. I join law enforcement, community members and survivors to provide insights, commentary and thoughtful perspective on the tragedies depicted. Most authors’ willingness to engage themes of violence and betrayal and human nature in general provides a perfect fit for such a role in these cases. Topics covered through these particular cases include spousal abuse, Gulf War Syndrome and statutory rape. In all cases, the offenders and murderers were eventually brought to justice for their crimes, though some less satisfactorily than others.
